I
I purchased a Detrum Z3 FPV V2 EP flight controller from Dynam Hobby, featuring return to home (RTH), a 3-in-1 OSD, and a PMU (order placed on August 25, 2025). However, since then, I've encountered an installation problem that I attribute to the Spektrum hardware I exclusively use (AR610, AR8010T, AR630, and AR8000 receivers). None of these receivers have a DSM port to connect to the Detrum Z3FPV's DSM input! Yet, the Detrum manual clearly states the Z3FPV is compatible with Spektrum.
I followed the technician's advice, who repeatedly guided me through the connection process, particularly between the Z3's DSM input port and the satellite port on some of my receivers (AR8010T, AR8000), but I still can't activate the Z3's features, especially since the receivers' satellite port is an input (not an output)! I also tried connecting everything with the 3-in-1 programming board, following the procedure described in the user manual, but nothing happens!
Furthermore, in the compatibility photos in the manual, the receivers are shown as Futaba (SBUS output), Detrum (PPM output), and Spektrum SPM4648 (DSM output), respectively. But this DSMX Quad Race series receiver is unusual because its output port is directly in DSM format for use with flight controllers (Naze32, CC3D, SP F3, etc.) with only 4 channels (I need 6), while most other receivers in the Spektrum range (AR8000, AR610, AR630, AR8010T, etc.) have servo outputs in PWM encoding. I also tried to synchronize the Z3 with receivers without a built-in gyroscope, but still without success!
And now, the icing on the cake (French expression), due to a mistake, the built-in OSD has been erased and I can no longer see the flight information. I tried to update the firmware, as instructed in the Z3FPV manual (see section 9), but I can't find any information on how to obtain the firmware file to reinstall it (no information on the Dynam website and I haven't been able to get a response from Dynam customer service or a technician).
Could someone please provide me with some advice on how to reinstall the firmware?
Sincerely,
Yann
