PBY Landing lights

  • I've just begun to setup the PBY.  How do you connecct the landing lights?  The plugs are red wire and black wire and to not look like they attach to the receiver.

    Thanks.

  • Hello Tom,

    Thank you for your question.

For the LED connection, there are two options illustrated in the picture. One side of the wiring harness has 3 ports, which would keep the lights constantly on when connected. The other side has 2 ports, which would make the lights blink when connected.

As for the wiring harness having connectors for 5 inputs but only 4 LEDs, it seems to offer flexibility. You can choose between constant light or blinking for each LED, hence the extra port.

    1) You should connect the red wire to the orange wire and the black wire to the black wire. Please refer to the correct connections below:

    2) Some Dynam planes have five lights, requiring additional harnesses. However, if the plane only has four lights, so these extra harnesses are not needed. Please remove them or just keep them.

So, you can connect them based on your preference. Happy flying once everything's hooked up!

Any other questions pls keep me posted. I'm here to assist you.
    Thank you for your support.

  • Thanks for the response.  I followed your instructions and the lights DO function.  I would like to be able to switch them on and off as needed.  Lights in the bright sun are sort of a waste to me.  I use a Radiomaster TX16S and have controlled many features but have not yet found out how to control the lights without purchasing additional materials or light controllers.
